Downward Dog, Cat & Cow...
Yesertday we started a 10 week Yoga class at a local park. I loved it. It was difficult, but not impossible at all, and I felt great afterwards. I wasn't sore at all, though I had been feeling the burn, a lot, I went to bed thinking nothing of it.
Then I woke up this morning. OMG! I think that yoga class was the best workout that I've ever had. There's muscles that I didn't realize I had that got worked... I know cause they are BURNING and sore today. I've going to do someone of the stretching moves we did yesterday (leaving out the strengthening ones) to see if I can work them out. I've also going to do some research on Yoga, it's moves, etc. and see what I can learn. My interest is more piqued in it than it was when I was taking it before.
I consider this a workout SCORE!
I hope to eventually work my way up to more advanced yoga, however I don't know if I'll ever be here:
The course will go over 10 weeks (1.5 hours each Saturday morning) and then will start again. There are some ladies that have been going for years. For now, we'll take it 10 weeks (1 term) at a time.
Next week we may not make it to the class, since we have Color Me Rad in the morning and we may not be ready in time. Also, over memorial day weekend we won't be going, since we'll be in Florence camping. Other than that, we'll be there, rain or shine, getting our burn!
